**The Role**

The Technical Lead role provides technical leadership for SAVI Surgical. SAVI is a Max Kelsen product and winner of a Google Cloud Global Customer award for Healthcare and Life Sciences. This hands-on role is responsible for technical architecture, software engineering and leadership of the SAVI engineering team. The Technical Lead (and team) works closely with product and agile project management to deliver high quality features from the SAVI product roadmap

**What You'll Do**
- Technical architecture & design, planning and estimation of the SAVI backlog
- Data modelling and database design
- Hands-on software engineering within Python
- People leadership and mentoring of the SAVI engineering team
- Responsible for the quality of output from the SAVI engineering team

**Expected Skills & Experience**
- Proven experience as a senior software engineer
- Solid algorithm development skills, a good understanding of data structures and OOP
- Proven experience implementing APIs and services in Python
- Database manipulation and implementation with SQL
- Experience developing cloud-based solutions on GCP or AWS
- Experience with CI/CD tooling
- Experience writing automated unit and integration tests
- Strong planning and communication skills
- Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to develop quality software products
