We are seeking an experienced full-time Healthcare Receptionist for a busy Specialist Practice located in Burwood. Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 4.30pm with an occasional half day Saturday and relief reception at our Parramatta rooms when required. Immediate start. Experience in medical/dental practice and attention to detail is essential. Must have typing, computer and interpersonal skills.

**Daily duties include**:

- Greet patients in a friendly, courteous and professional manner.
- Answer and manage incoming calls
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments; operation bookings and issue associated documentation
- Data processing
- Patient invoicing and payments including Medicare, DVA and Defence transmissions
- Reconciling EFTPOS and banking
- Dictation typing of reports and medical correspondence
- Accounts payable
- General office administration duties

**Skills and Experience**:

- 2 years minimum medical and/or dental reception experience
- Experience using blue chip/medical director software or equivalent software
- Typing (50wpm)
- Excellent telephone manner
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Professional customer service skills
- Ability to be empathetic to patients
- Self motivated, reliable and trustworthy
- Warm and friendly personality, with the ability to remain calm and polite in stressful situations
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

**Salary**: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Burwood, NSW: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
