**About us**
The Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV) is a jurisdiction within the Court Services Victoria statutory authority, and has a long history of providing justice for the people of Victoria in metropolitan and regional courts across the state. This role works within the Specialist Courts and Programs team, providing theraputic court services to court users which includes the Drug Court, CISP, ARC, Neighbourhood Justice Centre, Koori Court and VOCAT.
**About the role**
- Provide leadership, guidance and high-level expertise on complex, sensitive issues to various stakeholders for the Magistrates' Court of Victoria as identified by the General Manager Court Support Services.
- Undertake research and analysis on strategic policy and transformation projects to identify, manage and provide authoritative advice to enable effective strategic decisionmaking by the Director SCP and SCP leadership team.
- Working with a wide range of senior and frontline internal and external stakeholders to collaboratively develop project plans and deliver outcomes, including roll out across the CSS teams with agreement and engagement from Magistrates, Registrar's, Specialist Programs senior management, relevant teams across MCV and CSV and frontline staff.
- Working collaboratively and closely with CSS management, project team and Practice Leads to develop and deliver key projects as identified in the workplans across SCP, supporting delivery of service improvements for the team.
- Work collaboratively with teams across SCP to develop key priority work programs including but not limited too; capability frameworks, training and development plans and quality assurance frameworks.
**About you**
- Demonstrated experience working in a complex policy environment, including Courts and Tribunals, Government Departments and similar with particular focus on supporing individuals with health and social care needs.
- Policy Skills - expert in policy development, research and review, formulation, and implementation based on good organisational knowledge and understanding of current issues, resulting in an ability to effectively address strategic, environmental and operational requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including flexibility and resilience in managing critical stakeholder relations.
- Demonstrated conceptual, analytical and research skills to effectively manage strategic projects and initiatives.
- Tertiary qualification in social work or psychology or other related discipline highly desirable.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
