As part of the Global Learning and Development team, the Learning and Development Manager, APAC is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing learning and development initiatives across the APAC region. Working closely with regional and global stakeholders, this role is responsible for identifying training needs, develop appropriate programs, and measure the effectiveness of learning interventions. Reporting to the Head of Learning and Development, this role works as part of a team of regional Learning and Development Managers and may take the lead on Weir-wide learning needs/initiatives. In this capacity they are responsible for designing and developing learning solutions globally.

Key Responsibilities:
- Stakeholder Partnership: Collaborate with regional leadership teams to understand business objectives, performance gaps, and learning needs. Collaborate with HR partners to integrate learning and development initiatives into talent management processes.-
- Team Collaboration & Guidance: Working as part of the Global L&D team, collaborate with other Regional Learning Leads and L&D Consultants on the group-wide L&D training plan and initiatives. Lead on the design and delivery of learning for global capabilities to ensure consistency and quality of approach across the entire company. Provide guidance and support to regional L&D consultants, ensuring consistent delivery and adherence to standards across the region.- Learning Tools & Resources: Utilize a variety of learning methodologies and technologies to deliver engaging and effective training solutions, including e-learning platforms, workshops, webinars, and coaching sessions.- Vendor Management: In line with the agreed Preferred Supplier List, identify external training vendors and manage vendor relationships to supplement internal learning initiatives when necessary.- Learning Effectiveness: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs through feedback mechanisms, performance metrics, and data analysis.- Market Knowledge: Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in learning and development to continuously improve programs and initiatives.- Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in learning and development, ideally with a relevant certification in training and development from a recognised professional body.- Proven experience in partnering effectively with a variety of stakeholders within the business globally.- Proven track record of designing and implementing successful learning initiatives that align with business objectives.- Proficient understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and learning technologies.- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.- Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data and metrics to measure the impact of learning programs and drive continuous improvement.
