Position: VET Trainer

Nortwest is expanding and hiring

We need enthusiastic trainers who have training and current industry experience to deliver Cookery qualifications to international students.

We are seeking to appoint trainers at our Sydney campus for our new courses.
- SIT30821 Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
- SIT40521 Certificate IV in Kitchen Management
- SIT50422 Diploma of Hospitality Management
- SIT60322 Advanced Diploma of Hospitality Management

**Role responsibilities**
- Provide student support services as identified/required according to individual learner needs.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver training and assessment in accordance with the TAS, delivery schedule, training session plans, and assessment instruments.
- Mark / Assess units of competency in alignment with the Assessor Guides
- Maintain training records, report on student progress and attendance in accordance with the policies and procedures of the RTO.
- Participate in professional development and industry currency activities in accordance with the RTO’s PD schedules

**Successful applicants will**:

- Hold a TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Have current, Australian and international, industry experience which you use to create meaningful interactions and bring the study experience to life
- Minimum of three years post-qualification experience in industry relevant to your qualifications, gained no longer than five years previously.
- Must be able to provide evidence of industry currency
- Strong training and practical skills
- Training and assessment experience in the VET sector
- Must be working in a managerial level position to train Diploma of Hospitality Management
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
- Must have continuous professional development records.

**Desirable Skills**:

- Experience in course development and course writing
- Experience teaching online
- Excellent digital literacy and computer skills
- Be a team player

Engagement is as a casual or full-time employee and includes preparation, lesson delivery, assessment, curriculum development and administrative tasks.

**Note**

**Salary**: $50,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
