**What you’ll be doing**

The objective of the Leader, Business Systems - Loyalty role is to partner with the Loyalty business divisions, understand their strategy and capability needs and manage the technology and technical services that support them. This role holds accountability for the services and life-cycle support specific to the Loyalty & Marketing portfolio, including the core Amadeus Loyalty platforms. Working collaboratively with the business and IT teams, you will assess new or improved capabilities in line with Business strategies and the Technology Roadmap. You will facilitate execution of business cases, delivery of projects and minor enhancements, and manage relationships with key stakeholders and vendors within the established IT framework.

This role reports into the Head of Loyalty, Marketing & Customer Technology and this position has 3-4 direct reports, plus the management of contractors to support the delivery of projects.
- Partner with Loyalty functions to understand their strategy, needs and pain points
- Using working knowledge of the portfolio, contribute to an investment and technology roadmap with the Strategy and Architecture team to address business function needs
- Maintain ongoing alignment with business units on priorities as they change, and work with the IT portfolio manager to set prioritises within IT
- Resolve conflicts, contention, and prioritisation issues within the portfolio, and wider IT teams
- Support the Business through a partnership model based on one team culture
- Own all internal systems for the portfolio including future developments, in line with the Technology Roadmap
- Work with senior managers and Product Owners to build a prioritised roadmap of improvements to internal systems aligned to Business strategies
- Work collaboratively with IT peers to overcome resource and other IT contention issues affecting delivery
- Provide expert product and service support and partner with internal technology teams to fulfil service obligations
- Coordinate the delivery of consistent and effective technology services and projects
- Seek opportunities for improvements and champion changes to technology, including automation
- Support both agile and waterfall ways of working minimising contention between teams
- Build and maintain an accountable, high performing and engaged team
- Provide coaching, development and training opportunities for all team members
- Manage and forecast operational budgets appropriate to portfolio with a view to reduce ongoing costs year on year
- Monitor partner relationships and contract adherence, with the support of procurement and escalate as required

**You’ll be great in this role if you**
- Degree in Information Technology or related discipline
- 10 year's work experience within IT, with recent experience in leadership
- Technical delivery background is advantageous
- Project management experience and ability to lead multiple projects at once
- Experience developing senior relationships and resolving conflict and prioritisation challenges
- Proven history of driving people, process and technology change
- Sound technical knowledge of IT (you need to be able to interpret the information that comes from IT and translate that to the business)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills to gain the credibility to have a positive influence on a range of stakeholders, and lead high performing teams
- People management experience, with the ability to motivate and inspire others when change is present
- Problem solving experience in a complex Business Systems environment
- Experience working in medium - large sized organisations
- Vendor Management and contract negotiation experience
- A strong commercial focus, including business case development experience
