About the opportunity
This is a unique and rare opportunity for a seasoned recruitment professional to span all areas of the business at one of the most renowned cultural institutions. You will be the sole recruitment adviser within the organisation, and would be integral in advising the hiring managers on matters relating to talent acquisition, sourcing, attraction and retention.
Reporting to the Manager, Employee Experience, your key accountabilities will include:
- Developing, facilitating, and implementing all phases of the recruitment process
- Coaching and training hiring managers on best practice recruitment, including conflict of interest, unconscious bias, and diversity and inclusion
- Developing and delivering recruitment campaigns and a compelling employee value proposition to strength the Library brand
- Collaborating with hiring managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate selection criteria
- Identifying and implementing efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organisation
- Managing the job posting and advertisement processes
- Participating in selection panels, conducting phone screenings, interviews and reference checks, and overseeing preparation of interview questions and selection reports
- Collaborating with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salaries, start dates and other pertinent details
- Building positive relationships with contracted recruitment agencies for labour hire and permanent placements
- Developing and implementing early career programs (and other employment programs as required)
- Organising and facilitating employer information sessions
- Reviewing policies and procedures, and continuously improving the applicant tracking system and careers portal to streamline recruitment processes
- Identifying appropriate metrics and reporting on key performance indicators using data analytics

About you
- Experience in talent acquisition, sourcing, attraction and retention
- Experience creating employee value proposition
- Experience recruiting for identified or affirmative roles
- Experiencing in early career programs including graduate program, internship, student placement and work experience
- Proficient in an applicant tracking system (preferably Springboard)
- Excellent business partnering and stakeholder management skills
- Outstanding communication and influencing skills
- Ability to manage competing and changing priorities
- A creative and collaborative problem solver with a customer-centric approach
- Self-starter
- Integrity, confidentiality and accountability
- A recognised tertiary qualification in human resource management or a related discipline (desirable)
- Knowledge of Boolean search (desirable)
- A valid Working with Children Check card or ability to obtain one prior to commencement
