**About the project**:
John Holland as part of a JV has been awarded a major works contract for the delivery of Light Rail Stage 2A - City to Commonwealth Park in Canberra ACT over the next 4 years. The project will see three new stops built at Edinburgh Avenue, City South and Commonwealth Avenue, extending the network by 1.7 kilometres.

**About the role**:
John Holland is seeking a Communications and Stakeholder Engagement Advisor to join the Canberra Light Rail Stage 2A team based in Canberra, ACT.

**Your Role**:

- Build and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders including community, businesses, and other stakeholders to support delivery of the project
- Provide advice and assistance to the community and conduct face to face meetings with stakeholders
- Prepare and manage community communications in relation to construction works, impacts, etc
- Assist the project with communications planning and implementation
- Identify stakeholder, community and trader issues and develop strategies to minimise impacts.
- Work collaboratively with the project construction team to ensure activities are undertaken strategically, minimising impact and disruption to stakeholders and the community.
- Write a range of communication materials, including notifications, newsletters, responses to enquiries and formal correspondence as well as co-ordinate residential doorknocks.
- Communicate community and stakeholder awareness and risk minimisation programs across the Project through inductions and toolbox presentations.
- Maintain registers and ensure community and stakeholder activities are recorded appropriately.
- Assist in the identification, development and management of opportunities to support impacted business stakeholders.

**About You**:

- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, ie Public Relations, Marketing
- Minimum 2 years in community relations and stakeholder engagement in a complex environment, preferably in rail or infrastructure projects
- Corporate communications and/or marketing experience is desirable
- Excellent written and verbal communications
