**Provide advocacy services in courts and tribunals for appropriate matters referred from departmental business units.
Provide management support to LAA through activities including:
directly supervising and mentoring junior legal officers;
proactively monitoring and adhering to time frames in the delivery of legal services to ensure a consistent, coordinated and effective approach to the provision of legal services for the department including particularly sensitive or complex matters;
attending intra
- and inter-departmental meetings or workgroups where required; and
acting as the Director, LAA on an ad-hoc basis as required.
