**Remote Aviation Instructor **positions available Melbourne, Australia.

Suas Rov is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO46117) and Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) Certified Training organisation, specialising in the delivery of industry leading Remote Aviation Training and Licensing, encompassing AVI30419 Certificate III in Aviation (Remote Pilot), Remote Pilot Licence (RePL), Remote Operator Certificate (ReOC), Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) in addition to several short courses.

**About the Role**

Instructors will be working as part of our team to deliver best in class Remote Aviation Training encompassing Higher Education Electives in a University Environment, Certificate III and CASA Certified Remote Pilot’s Licence (Multirotor), in a high school and/or TAFE setting and private training courses delivered in a combination of online and face to face training modes.

Instructors will be required to deliver one or more of the following courses:

- BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line of Sight)
- Remote Pilot Licence (RePL)
- Aeronautical Radio Operators Certificate (AROC),
- GELP/AELP (General/Aviation English Language Proficiency)
- AVI30419 Certificate III (Aviation) Remote Pilot

**How will I be working?**

Instructors will be delivering Theory and Practical lessons and training students from a wide range of backgrounds.

Successful applicant will undertake a detailed induction with our Chief Remote Pilot and will be given all the support necessary to ensure they can operate to the high standards that we and our customers expect.

**Where will I be working?**

The role is primarily based in Victoria with approximately 25% of the time away from base serving the needs of our customers.

Training is delivered in a blended mode encompassing real time online, face to face (classroom) and “on the field” training and assessment.

**What will I be teaching?**

Instructors will deliver the theory and practical training and assessment elements in accordance with Suas Rov's training procedures.

**How will I be teaching?**

The theory element of the course(s) is delivered in a blended online/face to face classroom mode utilising our state-of-the-art learning management system and the learning management systems of our partner Universities.

**About you**

Pre-Requisites
- Hold the TAE40116 Certificate IV (Training and Assessment) or equivalent.
- Hold or have recently held an Aviation Licence (Including Remote Pilot Licence and/or Remote Operator’s Certificate) with an Instrument Rating (IREX) or BVLOS.
- At least 2 years’ experience in a training role, preferably within a regulated industry
- Thorough understanding of adult learning principles
- Have current industry skills, knowledge and vocational qualifications directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided.
- The ability to analyse aviation regulations and to translate these into simple English and concise procedures will be highly regarded.
- Keen interest in the Aviation Industry/Remote Aviation Industry.
- Must hold Remote Pilot's Licence (Sub 25KG Multirotor) or be willing to obtain (full training provided).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong team commitment
- Customer focused with an eye for continuous improvement.
- Ideally have their own transport
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Must be able to demonstrate or acquire significant hands-on remote pilot skills and flight hours.
- Highly computer literate, including online delivery technologies, Collaborate Ultra, Zoom, Teams, CANVAS, Collaborate Ultra, etc.
- Prior experience of RTO, University or TAFE highly regarded.

You will be a self-starter who is technology literate and will have proven capability as a problem solver who is comfortable working with a range of different clients from students to corporates to future rocket scientists.

**Highly compliant industry**

Our instructors will be required to understand, in detail, the specific safety and compliance requirement associated with the delivering CASA/University (higher education)/RTO Training Course.
