Mercy Hospital for Women have some great opportunities for someone seeking a career change in **‘essential services’** We're looking for someone who has a passion for nutrition and dietetics. We have a **Part-time** **Catering Assistant **position working shift times of **6:30am-2:30pm across Monday to Friday**. This is a diverse role where you will cover both Catering Assistant tasks but also assist with menu monitoring for a portion of the shift.

**The position**:

- Deliver high quality and efficient catering services including delivering meals to patients
- Provide nutritional knowledge relating to patients in a rehabilitation environment
- Deliver the menus of the day around to the wards and collect orders for upcoming meal services
- Assist with general cleaning duties as required, including washing of dishes
- Minor leadership duties, mentoring and assisting front line staff
- Previous experience in a hospital setting is highly regarded
- Respectful, understanding and compassionate
- A willingness to help patients in need
- An understanding of IDDSI (International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative) is desirable not required
- To be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, flu vaccination and hold a National Police Clearance (or willing to obtain)
