**About the Role**
This role in Ballarat offers a unique opportunity for a nurse or allied health practitioner to drive innovation in rural health education, particularly in aged care settings. The position involves designing and implementing novel placements within the Going Rural Health program, emphasising flexibility, evidence-based approaches, and collaborative leadership to shape the future of the nursing and allied health rural workforce.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Facilitate nursing and allied health placements in aged care settings, notably at Beaufort Skipton Health Service.
- Design and implement diverse and high-quality rural placements within the Going Rural Health program, ensuring they meet the learning needs of various health disciplines and education providers.
- Drive evidence-based approaches in education, teaching, and student placement design, while actively contributing to research and presenting educational models at health conferences.
- Lead strong partnerships with health services and community organisations, actively promoting rural placements, supporting GRH initiatives, and contributing meaningfully to communication forums and meetings.
**Who We Are Looking For**
You are a nurse or allied health practitioner with a wealth of experience in supporting and developing student placements in rural settings. Your innovative approach to nursing and allied health education aligns with our values, and you possess commitment to interprofessional education, individual mentoring, and service learning.
You will also have:
- A postgraduate qualification in nursing or an allied health discipline.
- Proven experience in supporting, facilitating, or developing student placements in rural settings.
- Demonstrated experience in providing interprofessional education to nursing and/or allied health students or professionals.
- Track record of developing partnerships with local health, education, and other stakeholders.

- This position requires the incumbent to hold a current and valid Working with Children Check to ensure the University provides a safe environment for everyone. _
