**About The Role**:
Reporting to the AMEP Coordinator, the **AMEP Pathways Counsellor **will provide comprehensive support and customer service to clients in the Bendigo AMEP Program. You will assist them to develop relevant AMEP learning pathways in line with their goals. As part of the wider AMEP team, you will provide support to ensure adherence to process and contract compliance.
As an **AMEP Pathways Counsellor **, you will be performing a collaborative role that will require you to liaise internally (teachers, student support and VET departments',) and externally (Melbourne AMEP, employers, support agencies and other training providers). You will be required to undertake promotional activities such as attending network meetings. You will need to stay abreast of Employment and training opportunities. You will work with a dynamic and highly collaborative team that strives to make a real difference for our AMEP students in their educational/employment pathways.

**We are excited about you because you have**:
- A thorough knowledge of the services available in Bendigo including; settlement service providers, mainstream providers (e.g., Services Australia and Workforce Australia providers), local employers, the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector, Skills for Education and Employment Program (SEE) providers and community services.
- Experience working with newly arrived migrants and Humanitarian entrants from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds in a culturally sensitive manner.
- Highly effective networking, negotiation, advocacy and interpersonal skills together with demonstrated experience in liaising with community, training providers, government agencies and industry.
- Demonstrated high level organisational and planning skills including the ability to manage an extensive caseload, keep accurate client records, maintain databases, meet KPI's and deadlines.
- Ability to speak a community language including Karen, would be highly regarded.

- Certified Right to Work document - Passport/Visa/Citizenship or Birth Certificate
- Certified vocational qualifications and certified transcripts (as listed in Resume and relevant to the position)
