**Consumer LE Peer Support Worker**

**Royal Melbourne Hospital Mental Health Services**
- Join a Lived Experience team that promotes a trauma informed approach to supporting consumers
- Use your lived experience to support others experiencing similar challenges.
- Part time | 4 days per week

We are looking for a new team member for the Lived Experience Workforce at the Royal Melbourne Hospital Mental Health Services who is dedicated to a culturally safe, trauma-informed practice within mental health services. Our multidisciplinary mental health teams include both clinical and lived and living experience peer support staff with a focus on inclusivity of consumers and their individual support needs.

**Your new role**:

- Respond to referrals throughout RMH-MHS to support people with complex mental health and AOD challenges as well as people in crisis
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary teams, lived experience leads and external service providers
- Support consumers by providing resources and linkages to our lived experience groups, our Safe Haven and external community resources and services.

**About you**:

- You will identify as having a personal lived experience of mental health and or alcohol and other drug use challenges or service use.
- Experience in a lived experience role and intentional peer support core training
- Understanding of the public health sector
- A willingness to share your own emotional experience with others
