**About the Role**:
**As a Principal Policy Officer you will**:

- Provide leadership and project management expertise to lead the development and implementation of system wide learning and professional development programs and coordinate project activities and initiatives to deliver strategic objectives;
- Lead the creation and delivery of learning and development initiatives to build capability across the department on topics such as governance, portfolio, program and project management, risk management, customer complaints and human rights;
- Develop high-quality, engaging training and informative resources to support sustainable capability development;

- Strategic thinker, who can research, analyse and translate complex information into clear, user-friendly training products for a variety of delivery methods;
- Training design and delivery experience, with an understanding of effective learning approaches tailored to the audience;
- Exceptional writer and communicator who is great at stakeholder engagement and negotiation;
- Strong leadership skills;
- Excellent attention to detail and coordination skills; and
- A positive attitude and flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities.
