The Pharmaceutical Services Section (PSS) is responsible for promoting the safe use of medicines in the ACT community and is responsible for regulating controlled medicines prescribing and supply in the ACT. PSS does this in the interest of minimising the risks associated with their abuse, misuse and diversion.

ACT Health has been working with Commonwealth Department of Health in delivering the national real time prescription monitoring system in the ACT, called_Canberra Script_ to assist prescribers (including medical practitioners and nurse practitioners) and pharmacists when they prescribe or dispense monitored medicines for consumers.

We are looking for individuals who are team players, strong communicators and can build and maintain a professional relationship with internal and external stakeholders. This is a fast-paced role that will suit people who are comfortable with implementing change in medical community.
