Product Manager, Strategic Initiatives

This position will play a pivotal role in the delivery of our Open Data solutions across Equifax Australia and NZ and will work closely with our Head of Strategic Initiatives to deliver new innovative products to market in the next 12 months.

Key duties will include product development and lifecycle management including identifying customer needs, assessing market opportunities, input to solution design / development and owning the go to market plan. You will also work closely with our Technology, Sales, Data Analytics and Compliance teams to achieve revenue and business case outcomes.

**What you’ll do**
- Alongside the Head of Strategic Initiatives, lead the end to end delivery of new product innovation (NPI) to market, from inception through to delivery, go-to-market and eventual customer and business case success
- Collect and manage client and stakeholder input and be the representative of the business and client at team level
- Run a cadence of working groups, standups and other relevant meetings to ensure all stakeholders are aligned
- Design value propositions that differentiate Equifax’s position in the market
- Ensure that there are clearly defined product requirements, SLAs aligned to market needs, pricing models and distribution channels
- Ensure that all products, services, and activities are compliant with all forms of regulation, legislation and/or policies.
- Monitor projects to provide recommendations and solutions in line with product roadmaps.
- Develop, prepare, and deliver presentations or communications on products and services to clients and other interested parties to assist in the education process and marketing of Equifax’s products.
- Stay up to date on industry trends and new developments in alternative data frameworks to help improve credit outcomes
- Own and prioritize the backlog of work for the team which could include client delivery, maintenance, defects, incidents, and continuous improvement using the relevant frameworks and guidelines
- Understand the market position, market problems and market opportunity
- Know the competitions strengths and weaknesses
- Understand how the product portfolio serves the customer needs
- Identify how different segments will gain value from the products
- be part of promoting a culture of innovation and continuous improvement where anything is possible with the right mindset

**What experience you need**
- Tertiary qualification (or commensurate, applicable experience) required.
- 5+ years of professional experience
- Demonstrated skills in product management
- Strong business analysis skills demonstrated through identification of a business need/problem and good problem-solving skills desirable
- Ability to take on and assess technical concepts and issues for the purpose of resolving/advancing product development
- Strong customer focused approached as demonstrated by identifying and solving a customer need
- Strong Google suite skills
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Demonstrated strong time management skills and ability to work independently
- Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills, including written skills and ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders

- Experience working in a bank, fintech or other credit provider
