Job Overview
We are currently looking for a Technical Fabrication Planner to be located at our Moss Vale facility. This is a fast paced, high energy role within our Operations group supporting our Fabrication and Machine Shop. This role will require the successful applicant to be able to read and interpret technical drawings and translate the requirements of the technical drawing into an executable plan for the workshop personnel. Previous experience in structural fabrication and CNC machining would be highly desirable.
Key Job Responsibilities
Service the needs to our Fabrication customers ( external and internal ) - OTD achieved
Manage and be responsible for a date driven production planning work centre process to allow the repair facility to meet the weekly production plan
Provide the workshop management with accurate scheduling and capacity plans to allow the best utilisation of labour and facility resources
Manage CM01 capacity weekly system with a high level of ownership and engagement with unit manager
Manage CM04 overdue backlog with urgency and reset and or deliver the plan
Ongoing improvement in SAP task lists and routers - to improve sequence, productivity, and cost
Manage all areas of SAP service and production order control to OP4.10-19 from creation to TECO
Lead daily and weekly production Fabrication meeting
Engagement with Engineering and supply on daily contains
Report performance for cycle time and OTD
Assist and challenge parts forecasting improvements
Qualifications/Requirements
Trade background in Fabrication
3-5 years working with in or planning mechanical or similar roles
3-5 years’ experience SAP service orders and production order desirable
BOM and drawing interpretation
Knowledge of the machinery overhaul process
SAP, Sales force, Excel, Word, projects and power point - would be desirable
Trouble shooting
Team player dedicated to deliver quality performance
High Attention to detail
