**About the Team**:

We walk alongside and support families where they live, working together to build a stronger community where individuals and families in Willmot and Lethbridge Park achieve their goals and thrive

**Roles and Responsibilities**:
As a Place-Based Case Worker you’ll be working alongside families within an emerging and exciting framework for family strengthening; encompassing community engagement, support work, Case Work, Case Management and advocacy.

This includes:

- Participating and facilitating community events
- Providing support to families and connecting them to services where required
- Supporting families identify goals and monitor progress and outcomes
- Work collaboratively with local community organisations, government departments and schools in prioritising the needs and ensuring supports are aligned with family’s goals
- Advocate at a systems level and work together to develop strategies to create change

**Skills and Experience Required**:

- Bachelor of Social Work and eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers
- Knowledge and experience in strength-based practises and place-based community development
- Experience in a casework role working with families and children
- Ability to adapt to and work within multiple teams, projects and contexts and have strong negotiation and conflict management skills
