This is an exciting opportunity to join a professional, multi-disciplinary team, providing high level strategic stakeholder engagement and program support to Transport Policy Branch. In the role of Advisor, you will support the delivery, implementation and evaluation of engagement strategies and activities to support a range of programs. You will be required to work autonomously using a high level of initiative to assist in the efficient and effective management and delivery of engagement strategies and program support.

**Accountabilities include**:

- Provide support to the General Manager by coordinating and reviewing stakeholder engagement collateral including presentations, speeches, briefing notes, media releases, Hot Issues Briefs, and event run sheets. Ensure accuracy and consistency in messaging for internal and external audiences.
- Provide accurate and timely advice to the General Manager on media coverage relating to the branch work program. Ensure media requests are responded to accurately and within agreed timeframes.
- Demonstrate effective written, oral and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to clearly and concisely analyse and express ideas and issues. Organise work within agreed timeframes and with minimum supervision.
- Develop and implement a Stakeholder Engagement Plan to ensure Transport Policy Branch programs and activities are effectively and consistently communicated to stakeholders and customers.
- Review Stakeholder Engagement Plans and collateral to ensure a consistent approach is applied across the branch and provide accurate advice and assurance to the General Manager.
- Coordinate reporting activities including business plan quarterly reporting, Annual Report case studies.
- Proactively manage branch Microsoft Teams pages, SharePoint and Website content including updating databases with branch project information.
- Develop the monthly General Manager Newsletter and proactively identify and provide advice to, and undertake stakeholder engagement and communication activities for the General Manager and Principal Advisor to enhance the branch profile such as, preparing LinkedIn and Yammer posts.
- Actively participate in performance conversations to build and support a culture of performance improvement. Participate in training and development opportunities as necessary to achieve personal and branch objectives.
- Build a cohesive and high performing team with a focus on a positive workplace culture, building and maintain strong relationships, achieving high quality and timely results, and strong morale, including personal management and accountability. Provide support f to Principal Advisor where required to support team outcomes.

This role reports to the Principal Advisor (Office of the General Manager).
