
Import Officer

As an Import Officer, you will be require to support the Import/Export Part Leader with all functions related to import and export operations, daily reporting, FIS Updating and maintaining, and general administrative duties to support the client and the 3PL.
**Key Accountabilities**
- Inbound daily reporting
- Track and trace shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues or delays.
- Communicating with trucking companies, shipping lines, customers and other M&S offices.
- Manage the import process by coordinating with carriers, customs brokers, and other relevant parties to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
- Prepare and review shipping and customs documents, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, bills of lading, and Electronic Delivery Orders
- Ensure compliance with import-export laws and regulations by staying updated on changes in customs requirements and assisting with customs clearance procedures.
- Assist in the preparation of import and export documentation for audits and compliance checks when required.
- Maintain accurate import and export records, including invoices, shipping documents, and customs declarations.
- Collaborate with sales and purchasing teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of goods to customers and suppliers.
- Coordinate with customs broker to ensure accurate and timely customs clearance lodgement, payment of import duties, taxes, and freight charges.
- Assist in managing carrier invoices, ensuring EDO is received on time, and correct amount are invoiced, and resolving discrepancies.
- Support the Import Export Manager in various administrative tasks.

- Daily Ocean report completed in timely, accurate, and precise.
- Good customer/vendor feedback.
- Accurate and up-to-date system.
**Critical and Desirable Experience**
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in preparing and reviewing documentation.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Knowledge of customs regulations, import-export laws, and international shipping procedures
**Occupational, Health and Safety**
- Comply with all current Work Health and Safety Legislation
- Comply with all current Chain of Responsibility Legislation
- Comply with the Policies and Procedures of Samsung SDS and the 3PL
- Take corrective action to eliminate hazards at work, or report those hazards which cannot be immediately corrected
- Report any incidents, accidents, or damage to your supervisor immediately and follow the correct documented reporting process
Pay: Up to $80,000.00 per year
