**Job Overview**
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals with disabilities, helping them to achieve their personal goals and enhance their quality of life. You will work closely with clients to develop and implement care plans tailored to their specific needs, ensuring they receive the assistance they require in a respectful and dignified manner.

**Responsibilities**
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
- Develop and maintain individual care plans in collaboration with clients and their families.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Support clients in accessing community resources and engaging in social activities.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in their condition.
- Drive clients to appointments or community activities as needed.
- Provide childcare support for families with children who have disabilities, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
- Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes.

**Qualifications**
- Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Ability to drive is highly desirable for transporting clients as required.
- Familiarity with developing care plans tailored to individual needs is beneficial.
- Experience in childcare is an advantage, particularly when supporting families with children who have disabilities.
- A caring attitude, patience, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team are crucial for success in this role.

**Job Type**: Casual

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
