You will be responsible for leading a team of marketing professionals to deliver marketing and advertising campaigns, initiatives and activities which support and promote the company's policies and programs.

The Marketing Coordinator will exercise a degree of autonomy within defined guidelines, policies and procedures and is able to achieve outcomes with general direction from the Marketing Program Leader.

This role is responsible for the supervision of a team of Marketing Officers and Marketing Assistants.

To be successful in this role, you will:

- Show initiative, be self-motivated and have a commitment to the delivery of high quality work performance.
- Prioritise tasks to ensure business needs are met efficiently.
- Manage your own work performance to meet set objectives.
- Build rapport and maintain relationships with customers.
- Ensure business compliance to relevant governance requirements.
- Possess the ability to make prompt and reliable decisions within the bounds of allocated responsibilities, displaying a high degree of judgement, initiative and confidentiality.

Duties required as part of this position:

- Manage the provision of marketing services to Council, ensuring the delivery of services is within agreed timeframes and to the required standards
- Contribute to the on-going implementation and review of Council's Marketing Plan and Council's strategic direction for all marketing initiatives. Project manage major initiatives that align to the Marketing Plan, this includes development, implementation, evaluation
- Supervise a team of professional marketing, graphic design and support staff, collaborate with the graphic design team and account manage external marketing and public relations agencies
- Encourage team members to proactively develop and maintain strong and supportive relationships with stakeholders by fully understanding their business needs and developing tailored solutions that add value and exceed expectations.
- Develop and implement the strategic goals, objectives, policies and priorities for the team
- Identify, explore and seize innovative opportunities for process improvements that enhance the service provided by the team.
- Promote and champion a culture of learning and growth where ideas and knowledge are shared and staff are committed to professional and personal development.
- Identify team training needs, develop and deliver training programs to team members, where required.
