About the Role

Head of Department, Student Services in many instances are the initial point of contact for a range of inquiries made by parents, staff & students & make informed decisions based on a good knowledge of school policies and procedures.

Head of Department, Student Services lead through:
Empowerment:
High Performing teams of Form teachers who in turn lead class teachers to support the academic, social-emotional and wellbeing of the Year Level cohort
Liaising with student, school parent, caregiver as required (in consultation with school support services)
Promoting capability and learning opportunities for all in our school community

Inclusion:
Creating a culture of high expectations and promoting a positive learning culture in which all people contribute and are accountable (leading year level assemblies, events and form teacher meetings)
Enabling through capability, student leadership opportunities with a lived and enacted understanding of service and legacy

Integrity:
Designing a culture of respect through clear communication of school expectations and enlisting parent, caregiver support
Prioritising and managing responsibilities relating to student wellbeing, attendance, engagement, and behaviour in collaboration with the Heads of Department Team, Student Support Services and Deputy Principal.
