**Asset Plan/Technical Writer**
NSW Government Department - Sydney CBD
ASAP start - initial 6 month contract
Pay rate: $750 - $900 per day + super
**Key accountabilities**:
- Create comprehensive asset risk and asset register report/plan
- Ensure accurate and consistent terminology, definitions, and abbreviations throughout the Asset Management Plan.
- Incorporate relevant diagrams, charts, and visual aids to enhance understanding and clarity.
- Adhere to prescribed formatting and style guidelines to maintain consistency and overall coherence.
- Conduct thorough quality checks and ensure the accuracy and completeness of the Asset Management Plan.
- Translate technical information and data into a clear, concise report that can be understood by all relevant stakeholders, including meaningful diagrams, charts and visual aids
**Selection criteria**:
- Experience in either technical writing or developing business cases
- Ability to articulate **ISO 55001 asset management** principles, strategies, and methodologies in a precise and organised manner.
- Strong organisational skills to manage and prioritise writing tasks and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrate strong technical writing skills to effectively document and communicate the Asset Management Plan.
- Ability to adapt writing style and tone to suit the target audience, such as executives, regulators, and operational staff.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills
- Ability to write in Plain English format
- High level of attention to detail
- Previous NSW Government experience
