We are looking for a Technical Writer to join our team of authoring assistants. In this role, you will be responsible for developing technical references and self-guided learning content for our large, diverse software developer audience. You will work with Engineers to understand complex technical concepts and then translate them into clear and concise documentation. You will also be responsible for ensuring that our content is accessible and easy to use for developers of all levels of experience. In addition, you will collaborate with other technical writers and content creators, and stay up-to-date on the latest technical trends. If you are passionate about helping technical professionals, be successful through writing, you will love your everyday work here.

**Essential skills**:

- Technical writing and documentation of software projects
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in engaging effectively with Software Engineers.
- Use of technical frameworks, such as those provided by Microsoft and other content creation systems.

**Desired but not essential**:

- Software development
- Professional learning & curriculum design
- Writing courseware
- DevOps
- Markdown
- Building technical writing infrastructure: e.g. scripting, programming, templates etc.
- SharePoint development
