**The role**

The Technical Training & Quality Manager with a specific focus on the audit & process improvement functions, plays a pivotal role in our Motor Claims department, overseeing the development and enhancement of our technical training team's capabilities to identify areas of improvement through audit and feedback.

This role is instrumental in driving our organisational culture and achieving key business outcomes, particularly in the context of motor claims and assessing.

By ensuring compliance with internal assessing processes, legislative and regulatory requirements, as well as internal audit standards, you will contribute to our operational targets and prepare us for future challenges and opportunities in the insurance industry.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- People Leadership: Foster an environment of growth and operational excellence within the technical training team.
- Commercial Acumen: Drive strategic investment in skills and capabilities that contribute to profitability, with a focus on audit functions.
- Manage Complexity: Balance people, processes, and systems for seamless customer and employee experiences and efficient business operations, with a strong emphasis on compliance and audit standards.
- Execution Excellence: Ensure disciplined execution, agility, and clear KPIs to meet targets effectively, including audit-related metrics.
- Develops People: Commit to developing skills and capabilities within the team for long-term business growth and sustainability, with an emphasis on audit proficiency. Engages our People & Drives Our Aspirations Culture: Promote a cohesive, motivated workforce aligned with company goals, with a strong commitment to integrity and compliance.

**Business Function**:

- Contribute to strategic planning for competency-based training and quality assurance, with a specific focus on audit functions.
- Ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements, as well as internal audit standards.
- Focus on continuous improvement across people, processes, and technology, with an emphasis on audit efficiency and effectiveness. Drive improvements in team competency, operational efficiency, and overall business performance, aligning with audit and compliance goals.

**What experience you’ll bring**
- Trade qualified in Panelbeating, Spraypainting, or CERT IV Motor Vehicle Loss Assessing (preferred but not essential).
- Previous experience within the Motor Assessing or Motor Claims, with a strong emphasis on audit functions.
- Proficient in the use of Excel and Word.
- CERT IV in Training & Assessment (preferred but not essential).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Computer & quote package literate.
- Strong planning and organisational ability. Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on audit proficiency.
