Hotel Jesus is somewhere between a Mexican restaurant, taqueria, and bar, looking kick-ass wait staff. We love to keep things positive and offer the right pay, breaks, and meals. We get right into Mezcal, Tequila, and all things agave and even have monthly Mezcalier training sessions (if you want to really geek out). They’re fun but completely optional. It’s up to you.
- We are a multicultural kitchen serving Latin American food.
- We are located in Smith St Collingwood with trams right out front.
- We aren’t open on Public Holiday celebration days, so you can take time off with family and friends.
- We do pay award rates and do pay overtime.
- We do feed our staff, regardless of whether you do a 2-hour shift or an 8-hour shift.
- We offer 4 day, full-time working weeks, or casual shifts of 1 - 2 days per week or more.
- We offer staggered start times - to fit in with your other job or study requirements.
- We do give you a knockoff, a beer, a wine, or soft drink if you don’t drink alcohol.
- We do provide training if you’ve never done this before.
- We don’t shout, boss people around, or throw tantrums - we hope you don’t either.
- We are busy, we all work hard, and we respect each other.
- We turn up the next day, no matter how hard the day before was. If we’re not enjoying ourselves, we talk about it.
- We don’t tolerate (and we’ve never had to) racism, sexism, or bullying. It’s just not in our culture.
- We get right into Mezcal, Tequila, and all things agave and we have monthly Mezcalier training sessions if you want to really geek out. They’re fun but completely optional. It’s up to you.
- We have another joint in the city called Mamasita, if you like to switch things up from time to time, we’re all for it.
- We have casual, part-time or full-time hours available
- We are open 5 nights and 2 days - the nights finishing no later than 11pm on average. Midnight on busy nights.

When you come in for a trial, we will assist you through that and will pay you for your time. We’ll also feed you and offer you a knockoff. If you decide you don’t want the job after the trial, please just be respectful and let us know. Respect is two ways.
