**ABOUT THE ROLE**

Reporting into the Senior Health and Safety Specialist, you will be accountable for providing thought leadership and technical advice in all health and safety matters for the rebel and BCF brands.

Leveraging extensive health and safety expertise, coupled with in-depth knowledge of safety legislation, you will coach store leaders to improve their proficiency and effectiveness in managing risk controls and to drive safety performance improvements. Additionally, as part of the Group’s Health & Safety team, your responsibilities will extend into whole of business initiatives, operations, and projects to improve the health and safety performance of all brands.

**This hybrid, permanent opportunity will be based in Strathpine (Brisbane) with free onsite parking and a discounted cafe onsite.**

**Responsibilities include**:

- Promote best practice safety management with a primary focus on rebel and BCF stores to prevent injury and harm to customers and team members.
- Complete incident investigations when serious incidents occur.
- Facilitate safety walks and complete risk assessments where required on an ad hoc basis, requiring travel to stores within Australia for up to one week every two months.
- Support the Senior Health and Safety Specialist in leading the development of a H&S performance maturity program.
- Present key findings to Operations leaders within rebel and BCF), with a particular focus on the General Manager of Operations and Regional Managers.

**ABOUT YOU**
- You are a seasoned Health and Safety expert from a large and complex organisation.
- You have demonstrated experience in authoring critical safety communications.
- You are known for your charisma and ability to mentor and influence front line leaders and present to senior leaders.
- Ideally, you are passionate about sport and outdoor activities, as you will partner with people who love them.
- You have a strong working knowledge of safety management systems.
- You are organised, proactive, outgoing, and proficient with reporting and Excel.
- You can travel to stores within Australia for up to one week every two months.
