**Responsibilities**:

- Independently recognizes and seeks out sales, methods of obtaining sales and providing service to customers within area of accountability.
- Provide input to company management about trends and changes taking place within customer’s organization and make recommendations about future courses of action necessary of the company towards improving its position with the customer.
- Provide support in pricing studies, assist in response to productivity request and other special requirements from customers.
- Provides sales support and training as required.
- Coordinates sales distribution by established sales territories, quotas and goals, and advises dealers, distributors and clients concerning sales and advertising techniques.
- Participate in planning training, seminars, outside training to enhance product knowledge.
- Monitors schedule of sales staff to ensure that they are meeting with customers and potential customers.
- Develop the territory business plan and sets individual sales goals and objectives.
- Analyzes territory sales activity against actual sales.
- Assist as member of negotiation team.
- Recommend product enhancement or changes based upon market feedback and increased sales potential. Reviews market analyses to determine customers’ needs, volume potential, prices schedules and discount rates.
- Prepares periodic reports and regularly updates data base showing sales volume, potential sales and status of active pursuits.
- Conducts semi annual achievement and annual performance evaluations on all sales staff within the department.
- Evaluate territory performance against established objectives/ guidelines (sale forecast, budget, number of new accounts, gross margin, etc.) and take appropriate action to improve performance
- Communicate new product and service opportunities, information or feedback gathering through field activity to appropriate company staff
- Recommend to the company/ department areas of future growth potential such as acquisitions, new market strategies, etc.
- Cooperate with accounting department to assure the collection of account receivable due
- Develop a territory coverage plan which defines the type of support and frequency of customer contact required to meet territory goals.
- Cooperate with assigned inside customer service personnel, sales assistant and/or office clerks to achieve territory sales goals
- Provide timely reporting of activities in the field to assist in business and product planning.

**Requirements**:

- Have a Bachelor Degree
- 5+ years of sales experience in the Asian food industry
- At least 1 year of managing/supervising experience
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with word processing software
- Ability to use SAP ERP system
- Experience in dealing with national accounts, sales management techniques
- Business analysis experience and the ability to identify and suggest improvement opportunities

**Special Requirements**:

- Bilingual in English and Japanese (read, write and speak) or
- Bilingual in English and Korean (read, write and speak) or
- Bilingual in English and Chinese (read, write and speak)
- Willingness to travel at least 15% out of the year
