**About the role**

The Project Coordinator - Capital Works is responsible for the coordination and delivery of Capital Expenditure (‘Capex’) Projects that are allocated within the Environments Portfolio.

These projects can range from the forensic investigation of existing assets to remediate either known or unknown building issues to programmed works for the wider Environments portfolio.

Reporting to, and in consultation with the Project Manager - Capital Works, the Project Coordinator - Capital Works will work closely with professional consultants and building professionals (where required) in order to develop and deliver solutions to Southern Cross Care’s (‘SCC’) growing assets portfolio.

This position is a full-time position that involves the coordination of projects in both South Australia, Victoria and the Northern Territory. Travel to these interstate assets to ensure delivery to SCC’s expectations is required.

**About you**

We are looking for people who will be the difference in the lives of our residents and clients.
- Degree / Diploma in Project Management, or have held a position as Project Coordination (or similar), for over 3 years.
- Current, valid drivers licence.
- Previous construction and remedial experience in property, capital works or project management
- Budget monitoring experience, including analysis and monitoring of costs
- Experience of construction project management and successful project delivery (preferably in retirement living, aged care development and/or facilities management)
- Demonstrated ability to interpret specifications, drawings and technical information
- Sound financial skills
- Proven track record of document control and record keeping
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Sound report writing skills and great interpersonal skills for dealing with stakeholders
- Good computer literacy and proficiency with the Google suite (i.e. Google Docs, Google Sheets)
- Sound knowledge of construction and design processes
- A basic knowledge of the requirements of the Aged Care Standards as are applicable to the role.
- Experience with retirement living, aged care design and development and the Commonwealth accreditation process is desirable.
