**Position Information**:
J. J. Cahill Memorial High School is located in Mascot, a fast growing residential area. The school has a solid focus on community and works closely with families to support the learning and wellbeing needs of all students. JJCMHS is committed to delivering quality teaching and learning, underpinned by evidence based practices to improve student outcomes. JJCMHS is a Positive Behaviour for Learning school which uses Trauma Informed Practice to promote engagement and student success.

JJCMHS caters for the needs of students with a wide range of of academic abilities. Students come from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. Enrolment is currently at 307 students, including 19 students who are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. The school Support Unit caters for students with mild and moderate intellectual disability as well as students with an Autism diagnosis. The school is committed to providing opportunities for students from the Support Unit to integrate into mainstream classes.

**Selection Criteria**:
Approval to teach library (secondary) or currently undertaking or currently enrolled in Teacher Librarian qualifications approved by the NSW Department of Education.

Demonstrated experience and/ or ability to lead and co-ordinate programs, systems and procedures to support the effective functioning of a future focused library which supports flexible 21st Century learning opportunities.

Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work collaboratively to build relationships with students and staff and provide a positive learning environment in the library and across the school community.

Capacity to design and deliver lessons across a range of Key Learning Areas.
