Maintenance Coordinator

**Your new role**

Reporting to our State Engineer, you will be primarily required to act as Maintenance Coordinator with scheduling responsibilities. You will accurately maintain our maintenance and stock systems with a very hands-on approach. The successful applicant will facilitate the running of our preventative and breakdown system - MEX, whilst acting as a scheduler and purchasing officer for the maintenance and Engineering Team.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Assist the State Engineer, Plant Managers and Transport Manager in ensuring that all plant and equipment is maintained in a safe working condition,
- Daily generation of work orders,
- Assist and relieve Storeman to ensure all maintenance spares (Stores) requirements are purchased in a timely and cost effective manner,
- Ensure accurate maintenance records for various plant servicing requirements are maintained,
- Regularly organising and recording inspections of plant and equipment,
- Generate and maintain preventative maintenance schedules,
- Assist with training of maintenance staff and contractors.
- Monitor compliance of contractors in company contractor induction system

**To be successful in this opportunity, you will have**:

- Competent in using MEX Maintenance System
- Proven communication skills
- Computer skills incl. spread sheeting (Excel), & database (desirable)
- Have worked hands on in a maintenance environment especially of mobile equipment capacity
- Time management / organization skills
- Ability to be flexible in approach to work, be able to set and achieve deadlines
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision
- Adaptable to changes in the work environment
- Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness
- To work in a safe manner at all times
