About the role
Reporting to the Manager, Stakeholder Relations and Communications, in this role you will be developing and delivering high quality communication materials and advice to help deliver major projects in Melbourne's east. This includes Construction Liaison Group meetings, publication of LXRP newsletters, e-updates and social posts and schools' engagement.
**Some of your main responsibilities will include**:
- Assist in the development of communications and stakeholder relations strategies to guide external engagement and support for the project through its various stages.
- Research and write high-quality, original communications material for media releases, fact sheets, publications, newsletters (internal and external), advertising copy, brochures, project website and other content as required.
- Accurate weekly and monthly reporting on communications and stakeholder relations activity.
- Respond to public enquiries in a timely and appropriate manner, in accordance with established protocols.
- Monitor, audit and maintain the Customer Relationship Management database to ensure that all interactions with community, key stakeholders and the general public are logged accurately.
- Organise and coordinate logistics, meetings and communication with relevant Stakeholder Working Group(s).
- Help manage logistics for a range of communications activities and events, including community information sessions, launches, letterbox drops, corporate events and public and promotional events.
The Stakeholder Relations & Communications Adviser is a 3-year fixed term, full time contract, paying between $90,067 - $102,192. As we venture back into the office, we have a hybrid working policy that allows you to work a mix of home and in the office located in the CBD. This role also requires you to work onsite in Melbourne's eastern suburbs.

- You are technical and knows social media and enjoys engaging new innovative opportunities to spread across socials. You get your kicks by identifying opportunities which would be attractive to the eye
- You are creative and have lots of innovative ideas - this will see you put together new and exciting communications materials and opportunities to engage with stakeholders.
- You're well organised - there are lots of moving parts and stakeholders, so you need to make sure nothing falls through the cracks. You might also have some experience in event planning.
- You're flexible and comfortable dealing with ambiguity - you need to be able to respond quickly to media requests or things that might change at the last minute - we need people who can roll with that.
- You are hard-working, enjoy a challenge and don't shy away from having difficult conversations or getting your hands dirty.
- You will have a strong sense of purpose in helping the project deliver on transforming the way Victorians live, work and travel.
- An appropriate tertiary qualification in communications, public relations or community engagement (or equivalent work experience) will be highly regarded.
