**About the Company**:
Established in 1989, our client operates in a unique space within the disability sector, creating lifelong solutions for people living with developmental disability and offering peace of mind to their parents and family members.
**About the Role**:
This is an opportunity for a new Executive Officer to grow with the organisation, working alongside an established and experienced team and Board, and make a significant contribution to the lives and families of people living with developmental disability.
The organisation is poised for growth. The frameworks have been established, and there is an opportunity to continue building the client base across a range of NDIS and non-NDIS services. These services include future planning education and advice, support coordination, trust funds and property management, and safeguarding and advocacy for individuals over the long term.
Specifically, responsibilities include the following:
- **Leadership **and development of a small and committed team.
- Implement the **strategic** plan, to build the organisation’s profile within the disability sector, expand the client base and service offering, and sustain the organisation for the long-term.
- Develop **relationships** with new donors, grant funders, supporters and stakeholders.
- **Financial** management including the management of assets and resources, budgeting, reporting, and oversight of externally managed trust fund investments.
- **Administrative** functions including compliance/governance to NDIS, ACNC, ATO and other regulations, managing Audit, AGM and Annual report processes.
- Maintain an appropriate **policy** and **risk management **framework, providing advice to the Board.
- **Effective communications**, both verbal and written, with the Board, staff, clients, families and funders.
**Job Requirements**:
To be considered for this exciting opportunity you will have the following:
- Strong financial and business acumen.
- Track record in leading a small, cohesive team.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, with a willingness to embrace and promote the value of the organisation.
- Understanding and/or experience providing community sector services in a not-for-profit environment.
- Experience in or knowledge of marketing, communications and fundraising.
- Degree qualification in a relevant discipline (desirable).
