**Mental Health Clinician - Grade Two**

**About the role**

ICYMHS Community Teams are multi-disciplinary teams providing specialist mental health assessment and therapeutic interventions with young people aged 0 to 25, presenting with a range of mental health concerns, high levels of distress, and other psycho-social difficulties. The Box Hill Community Team works closely with young people, their families, and care systems to provide systemic, relational, and recovery based mental health care.

This is an opportunity for a Grade Two Clinician to join a supportive and skilled team. The team has structures to support clinician growth and development, such as, professional, clinical, and discipline specific supervision and support for professional development.

**About you**

To be successful in this role you will possess:

- Current professional registration with AHPRA or membership/eligibility for membership of AASW.
- Ability to engage with, complete mental health assessments for, and deliver therapeutic interventions to with children and young people, within the context of their families, who are experiencing significant mental health difficulties.
- Highly developed skills in interpersonal communication and multi-disciplinary teamwork.
- A strong commitment to high quality, evidenced based mental health care for infants, children, young people, and their families.
- Some experience in the mental health sector.
- A desire to be innovative and creative in how clinical work is delivered,
- A strong commitment to high quality care.
- The ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Willingness to participate in regular clinical and professional supervision.
- Excellent communication, organisational skills, and enjoyment of continuous learning.
- Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the _Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice)_. Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment._
