An exciting and unique opportunity exists for a talented and passionate individual to join the Corporate Services Branch as Manager, Workplace Relations in the People and Culture team at the Department of Premier and Cabinet.
As the Manager, Workplace Relations and as part of the People & Culture leadership team, you will oversee workplace relations, change management and health, safety and wellbeing for the department and its portfolio agencies.
This position offers the exciting opportunity to be involved in representing the department in VPS-wide committees and projects such as VPS and portfolio agency EBA bargaining, managing DPC responses to OH&S interdepartmental committees and oversee WorkCover Premium management.
About you
- Demonstrated experience in leading an ER/IR consultancy function with experience in organisational change management, preferably within a government setting.
- Highly developed management skills including experience in leading and motivating a team.
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation, policies and procedures and contemporary developments in Workplace Relations and HSW including the Fair Work Act (2009), Occupational Health and Safety Act (2004) and the Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2013.
- Highly developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain relationships with a diverse stakeholder group.
