**Salary**:From $104,949 per annum + 11.5 % superannuation

Randwick City Council is an innovative and progressive Council committed to serving our vibrant community on the eastern beaches of Sydney. Our Community Development Team is seeking Community Development Officer - Aboriginal Programs (Identified Role).

**Purpose**:
To strengthen partnerships and deliver initiatives that support the Randwick City Council's commitment to reconciliation and cultural inclusion through engagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

**About the role**:

- Collaborate with the Aboriginal community to develop and implement Council’s Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP).
- Build and maintain relationships with local stakeholders to deliver community-focused initiatives.
- Facilitate culturally appropriate programs and events that promote inclusion and respect.

**About you**:

- Demonstrated experience in local government or a similar setting, with a strong understanding of community engagement and development principles.
- Proven connections with the La Perouse Aboriginal community and the ability to build trust and partnerships.
- Expertise in developing, implementing, and monitoring a Reconciliation Action Plan.
