Are you wanting to work for a progressive company that values its employees? Mpower You is a registered NDIS provider located in the Ipswich region. We have recently been announced as Ipswich business of the year, and we are looking for someone that is switched on to join our wonderful team.
To work for us in this role, you will need a minimum Cert 4 in mental health or your own lived experience of recovery. You will be willing to learn new things and have a passion for assisting people who live with mental ill health in their recovery journey.
This is not a basic support worker role. There are many aspects to the job and, therefore, we ask that you have a good grasp on what the Recovery Coach role actually is. Additional information can be found on the NDIS website.
We are looking for someone who is prepared to work in a casual capacity and build their hours as they engage with new participants. You will need an excellent understanding of the NDIS.

**Requirements of the role**:
- Coaching participants to reach their desired goals
- Develop Recovery-enabling relationships.
- Support Participants' recovery planning
- Collaboration with key stakeholders and networks
- Reporting and documentation
- Supporting engagement with the NDIS, including support with plan implementation
- Conduct assessment when required.
- Link to mainstream and NDIS services
- Assist with goal setting.
- Work through a recovery coach planning tool where appropriate.
- Comprehensive case noting
- In depth reporting when required.
- Must be able to work autonomously and as part of a team when required.
- Monitor funding use and implementation
**Essential Criteria**:
- Have a lived or learned experience of mental health

Current Driver’s license and registered, insured vehicle
- Demonstrated understanding of recovery-oriented practice.
- High level of knowledge and understanding of the NDIS.
- Completion of any course requirements with the Quality Safeguards Commission
- A cleared Working with Children Check and worker clearances including current police checks
- Understanding of privacy and confidentiality issues.
- Well-developed computer skills
- Ability to work in a very busy environment and to work both independently and as a part of a team.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to work and communicate effectively with participants, their families, community agencies and other professionals.
- High level of oral and written communication skills
- Have a practical knowledge and understanding of issues facing people with a mental illness/Disability and their carers.
- Honest and able to record time worked accurately.
- Must be reliable and timely.
- High level of customer service skills
**Desirable Criteria**:
- Current first aid and resuscitation certificate
