**About the role**
Ventia are seeking Trade Assistants to join our Justice Contract to maintain the Correctional Facility in Parkville.
In this role you will conduct minor repairs and maintenance across the site. There will also be the requirement to travel to different sites to perform work from time to time.

**We are offering**:

- Stable working hours - Monday - Friday
- On the job support and training
- Vehicle provided while travelling to alternate sites

**Duties**:

- Conduct minor repairs and maintenance including;
- change outs,
- door and lock repairs,
- patching and painting,
- small moves,
- other minor reactive maintenance actions
- Provide support to the site based trades as required to assist in the completion of reactive and planned maintenance
- Maintain documentation to show repairs, modifications and additions
- Safely operate machinery and tools and assist in non-mechanical maintenance

**About You**
- Previous experience in the support of maintenance and/or trades assistance
- Current drivers licence
- Must have a Working with Children Check or be able to attain one
- Knowledge of and use of power tools, storage and handling
- Knowledge of current industry standards relevant to role
- Demonstrated ability to make use of computerised maintenance management system
- Ability to work flexibly and adaptively in a complex environment
- Per contract requirements you must be triple vaccinated or willing to obtain this status
