At Hachi Dog Boutique and Spa, we provide premium dog grooming services and carefully selected boutique products. We take pride in offering a stylish, professional, and friendly space for both pets and their humans to enjoy.

We’re looking for a friendly, organised, and dog-loving Sales Assistant / Receptionist to join our growing team. You’ll be the first point of contact for clients, assisting with bookings, boutique sales, grooming consultations, and communication between customers and groomers.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Greet clients and their dogs in a warm and professional manner
- Conduct grooming consultations with clients at drop-off to understand their needs and communicate them clearly to groomers
- Liaise with groomers to ensure accurate service delivery and client satisfaction
- Process sales and appointments using our POS and booking systems
- Keep the reception and boutique area clean, tidy, and visually appealing
- Assist with product restocking and merchandising
- Handle light admin duties and maintain customer records
- Support social media efforts (e.g., photos, stories, engagement)
- Assist with settling dogs and other light duties as needed

**What We’re Looking For**:

- A genuine love for dogs — ideally, you’ve had or currently have a dog at home
- Experience in a receptionist or front-of-house role, preferably with bookings
- Friendly, confident communicator with excellent customer service skills
- Comfortable around dogs of all sizes and breeds
- Able to confidently liaise between customers and groomers
- Tech-savvy and confident using social media (especially Instagram)
- Familiarity with the South Yarra area and the local clientele is a plus
- Well-presented, reliable, and calm under pressure
- Available to work on some weekends (not every weekend required)

**Bonus If You Have**:

- Experience in the pet, grooming, or boutique retail industry
- Visual merchandising or content creation skills
- Familiarity with dog breeds or grooming services
