We have multiple opportunities available for Finance Coordinators to join our Defence division and support with this new contract. These will be offered as permanent full-time positions that could be based at any of the main defence bases in South Australia.

About the role
You will support the Finance Partner in managing the financial operations of a state-wide defence contract, covering multiple bases. This role involves ensuring accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance with relevant regulations and standards. You will also play a critical role in maintaining financial integrity and supporting strategic financial planning and analysis.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and maintaining accurate financial reports, statements, and records.- Assisting in the preparation and management of budgets, including forecasting and variance analysis.- Ensuring compliance with financial regulations, policies, and procedures.- Overseeing accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate processing.- Conducting financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning.- Monitoring and controlling costs to ensure budget adherence and identify areas for cost savings.- Supporting the management of financial aspects of contracts, including billing and reconciliation.- Assisting with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.- Liaising with various stakeholders, including military personnel, contractors, and suppliers, to ensure effective financial management.- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial documentation and records.
About you- Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.- Ideally 3+ years of experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably in a defence or government contracting environment.- Strong understanding of financial principles, practices, and regulations.- Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.- Experience with budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting.- Strong attention to detail and the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders.- Professional certification such as CPA is highly desirable but not essential.
You must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
