Skills progression should assist the PGY3+ to meet the entry requirements for specialist training programs. Under the direction of more experienced medical staff, primarily registrars, and through collaboration with other health professionals, the resident provides effective appropriate medical care commensurate with their capabilities and in accordance with delegated clinical privileges that vary from site to site.
