It is an exciting time for tennis in Australia and we have ambitious plans to continue to grow the game from grassroots through to high performance. To help achieve our goals, we have transformed how we deliver tennis, with offering more opportunities for more players and a greater role for personal coaches in identifying and developing our future talent. We are now looking for a Tournaments & Competitions Coordinator (North/East) to join the team help us deliver on these plans.
In this role you will:
Reporting to the Tournaments & Competitions Manager (North/East), in this role you will assist in the delivery of Tennis SA events. The role will also take an active involvement in the delivery of the Foundation Cup Pathway including the State Foundation Cup event and Country Carnival.
- Assist in the administration and coordination of centrally managed leagues and Tennis SA Competitions
- Work with the Tournaments and Competition Manager to ensure a calendar of Tennis SA Events are delivered in the North/East region of SA
- Assist all aspects of the Country Carnival including program development, communication with Associations and set up of operations at host venues
- Support in the delivery of the Foundation Cup Pathway including regionally based events, State Foundation Cup, and support of State Teams at National level events
- Provide education and training to Association and Clubs on the use of League Manager / Match Centre
- Work closely with relevant stakeholders including regions and associations in the development of leagues, ensuring quality competition opportunities are available for all
What you will bring to this role:
- Sound organisational and administration skills
- Excellent communication skills, including public speaking experience
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and work in a challenging and changing environment
- Flexibility regarding work schedules and training hours
- Alignment with the Tennis values of Excellence, Humility, Collaboration and Imagination
- You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check
