This 3 Month Fixed Term Contract will play a crucial role in driving financial success through your strategic expertise and collaborative approach.

Leading a small team, the Manager Financial Advisory Services will drive resource allocation, reporting and monitoring to support operations through procurement and contract management. This will help ensure that the strategic aim of financial sustainability and compliance is met.

The role will work collaboratively with Directors and Branch Heads to meet statutory financial compliance obligations, understand financial levers, identify opportunities for efficiencies and to assist with the development of business cases.

The Manager Financial Advisory Services is a leadership role within the Finance Branch, working closely with the Head of Finance and is accountable for the following measurable outcomes:
The Opportunity
- Prepare monthly financial reports (trial balance, P&L, balance sheet, cashflow) with insights and variance analysis.
- Handle statutory financial reporting and external financial audit preparation.
- Drive strategic resource allocation through the annual budget program.
- Provide procurement and contract management advisory services.Lead process and system improvements through innovation and automation.
- Foster collaboration and communication providing relevant advice and partnering with all branches within the body to ensure that their specific financial needs are met.
- Drive financial success by providing strategic financial management expertise.
- Manage resource allocation and budgeting processes effectively.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance and financial governance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address financial challenges.
- Generate accurate financial reports and analysis to support decision-making.
- Provide expert advice on procurement and contract management.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of systems for financial asset security.

About you:

- Significant experience in management accounting, budgeting, or business partner roles.
- In-depth knowledge of strategic financial management principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting concepts for accurate financial reporting and analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle complex financial issues.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for enhanced financial analysis.
- Experience with Oracle Financial systems (desirable).
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and membership in recognized accounting bodies (CA, CPA) required.
