At Optus, we’re on an exciting journey to become Australia’s most loved everyday brand, and we’re looking for a results-driven Associate Director, IT Commercial to play a pivotal role in shaping our financial strategy and driving commercial success across our Enterprise Business, Corporate, and Cyber Domains. As a key member of our team, you will partner with Domain Country Leads and their leadership teams to ensure alignment and maximize business outcomes. With full end-to-end P&L responsibility, you'll manage both operational and capital expenditures, ensuring the most efficient allocation of resources to drive optimal performance.

Your expertise will be critical in supporting operational and strategic decision-making, providing valuable commercial insights, and driving improvements in key business metrics and operational efficiencies. You will also lead the charge on business case development, vendor negotiations, and procurement strategy, working closely with Group Finance and cross-functional teams. Additionally, you’ll contribute to the development of a multi-year business unit strategy, ensuring sustained growth and long-term success.

**Your day at Optus will include**:

- Providing financial leadership and business partnering support to Domain Country Leads and leadership teams.
- Collaborating with Group Finance, shared services, and cross-functional teams to optimize budgets, ensuring the best outcomes for the business.
- Playing a key role in the Procurement Strategy, supporting domains with business case preparation, benefits tracking, and vendor negotiations.
- Managing financial risks, compliance, and audit processes to ensure robust controls are in place for handling spend.
- Acting as the commercial face for supported domains, managing relationships and driving strategic financial decisions.

**We’re looking for someone with**:

- A Post Graduate Degree in Finance or a related commercial discipline, providing a strong financial foundation.
- Proven experience in a senior finance or commercial management role, ideally within large corporate organisations, with a background in technology or IT commercial management.
- Exceptional commercial acumen, analytical skills, and an expert business partner with the ability to manage multiple senior stakeholders, balancing conflicting objectives.
- Experience in shaping and driving annual financial strategies, business forecasts, and performance metrics.
- A collaborative, results-oriented mindset with the ability to influence at all levels.
