
Disability Service Coordinator

Disability Service Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the delivery of services to people with disability to help them achieve their goals and improve their quality of life. Generally, a service coordinator's job description may include:

Overall, the service coordinator for disability services is responsible for ensuring that individuals with disabilities receive the support and services they need to live a fulfilling life and achieve their goals.
Essential Competencies and Experiences:
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in disability program management
- (assessment, coordination, community linking and budgets) and understanding the care needs of people within the disability sector;
- Commitment to person centred care and quality of care;
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and lead staff;
- Demonstrated ability to plan, co-ordinate and organise own work and work of team members;
- Demonstrated ability to develop a customer service culture amongst staff;
- Ability to maintain professionalism, integrity and confidentiality;
- Proven ability to plan, prioritize, meet deadlines and juggle competing demands, working in a fast paced and flexible environment;
- Strong knowledge of the Disability Services Act 2006 (NSW) and prescribed requirements.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor Degree in Health related field.
- At least 1 year of experience working with people with disability.
- Knowledge of disability-related laws and regulations.
- Demonstrated awareness and understanding of issues confronting; people with disabilities in a home or community setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

**Salary**: From $75,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
