Reporting to the CSR and Mortuary Manager, you will perform general laboratory duties, including the receipt of specimens and registration of requests into the laboratory information system (basic keyboard/data entry skills).
What you'll do
Adherence to Pathology Queensland patient identification, labelling, collecting and processing policies at all times.
Maintenance of the laboratory environment including cleaning and restocking of consumables.
Prioritise tasks in order to meet service delivery deadlines.
Respond to enquiries and instruction by clients by demonstrating effective communication skills.
About you
**We are searching for someone with**:
Demonstrated experience in the interpretation of request forms, data entry and of the correct procedures for specimen processing.
High level interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively and work productively in a team environment.
Proven ability to follow instructions and work conscientiously and accurately with mínimal supervision after careful instruction.
Demonstrated experience of the correct procedures for the performance of laboratory tests including processing and setting up techniques within the department.
Ability to actively participate in a working environment supporting quality human resource management practices including employment equity, anti-discrimination, occupational health and safety and ethical behaviour.
