**About Your Next Opportunity**:

- Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology_ now has an opportunity for a Pathology Services Assistant to join their Pre-analytical and Specimen Reception Area at the Sunshine Coast's Birtinya Laboratory.

Shifts are between 08:00 - 19:00hrs Monday to Friday, with the majority being 11:00 - 19:00hrs, with inclusion in the Saturday roster.

Specific duties and responsibilities include
- Specimen reception
- Test coding
- Data entry and distribution of specimens to the laboratories
- Packing specimens for transport
- Responding to phone enquiries, providing results and transferring calls
- Assisting with local stores and packing doctors and clinic provisions for delivery by local courier

**About You**:
In this role, you will be enthusiastic, possess good communication and organisational skills, attention to detail and proven ability to work as part of a busy and multi-tasked team. Crucial to your success is a high level of commitment to customer service, laboratory turnaround times and accuracy of processing.

To be successful in this role, you will have the following:

- Proven keyboard skills and accuracy in processing
- Proven ability to work as part of a professional team in a fast-paced environment
- Proven commitment to the provision of quality customer services
- An understanding of medical and pathology terminology

Previous experience in a laboratory setting is desirable.
