We're seeking an experienced **Payroll Officer/Backup Accounts Payable** to join our supportive and collaborative Finance team on a full-time basis in our **Maylands office.**

**Reporting to the Finance Manager, the payroll duties will include**:

- Weekly end to end payroll function for around 120 employees (balancing timesheets through to processing payroll)
- Processing employee expenses
- Entering new employees
- Payroll journals & EOM payroll reporting
- Processing super, child support & payroll tax
- Assisting the Finance Manager to improve the Payroll & AP processes
- Answering the accounts phone line and answering payroll / supplier queries

**As back up for the accounts payable role, the duties will include**:

- Accurate data entry of accounts payable invoices & filing (all electronic)
- Matching Purchase Orders
- Actioning our supplier API portals
- Assisting with entering, payment & reconciling the credit card account
- Assisting with preparing supplier payments (monthly & adhoc)
- Assisting with preparing contractor payments (weekly)
- Reconciliations & report checking
- Assisting with EOM reconciliations
- Liaising with other colleagues regarding AP queries
- Assisting with the Bunnings cards & fuel cards
- Assisting with traffic & parking infringements
- Note that split of the role is roughly 2 days payroll & 3 days accounts payable._

**Requirements**:

- Experience in processing payroll
- Experience in a high-volume accounts payable role
- Previous experience in Oracle NetSuite and/or MyPay (desirable)
- High level of computer skills including Microsoft Office (in particular Excel)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated and able to meet deadlines
- Sound time management and organisation skills
